I was target of scam apartment & then rescued by friendly home owner.

The landlord owns all built six apartments on the apt. building shown below. He has not renewed the power distribution cabinet that is in the hallway behind the small door. Today, even a stove has its own 20a fuse. This house is ancient with only 1x 10A fuse per apartment. I noted him about not telling me that he hasn’t renewed the elect. distrib. cabinet. 2x electricians with whom I spoke on 10.12 said this should not be allowed today. 🤔 I’ll add pic of it on next thorsday after returned other pair of keys. That 1x 10A fuse set to work with completely to one apartment is an ancient system from times when there were no modern tech appliances & their bigger energy consumption. Hope that he won’t manage to deceive others in future. Yes, i had extreme bad luck. I just wanted to find a quieter neighborhood / residential area & at the same time home closer to basic amenities & services. Not troubling location like the previous home had. Then also the goal was to be closer to my mother so I could help her by cooking her tasty & healthy cruelty free meals & help with tech probs.

That scam apartment had a better distance than previous where I lived for 2yrs. One where lived couple years was 6km from the mother’s home & 5km from the city center. On that scam home the distance was 1km, but the owner made a big mistake by omitting 2x important things at lease signing 😦 The one & only fuse sharing powah broke down during the first evening after moved in. Was knackered & planned to cook & put furniture etc. to their place. It happened when there was only a stove’s one burner, oven at 150c, kitchen & living room ceiling lamp turned on. Then when the electricity was off, after a moment of wonder i called the owner of the apartment. 🎞

He asked questions about how things were when home felt into darkness & told me how not to use certain equipment at the same time, eg a coffee maker takes more than 1300W & many other lots. The walls there are cold even when the apartment’s 2x radiators being hot for days. Esp. cold area is the one that’s meant only for 1-2 person sized bed. No radiatior built to wall on that room & thin cold walls. Many years ago I lived 2 years in a wooden house that has two floors & a total of 9x apartments. It wasn’t cold regardless of the degree of outdoor space. It also had a modern power distribution center a.k.a switchboard inside the apartment. Scam apartment where i lived at end of last year & owned by cheapie has 3x windows of which 2x contains only 1x glass so not done by today’s construction rules 😦 The middle window is modern with double glazing & good frames. So if the electricity is off, etc. or you are working remotely & so on & would like to heat the apartment for an hour, then the other electricity consumers need to be off except the ceiling lamp.. 😦

Better apartment & area to live in. Time to build comfy path forward.

Time here in week long new apartment has already been better than past few months in the one where lived two years & that above mentioned scam / mistake one. Good that can do some basic routine like things as days go by & not shivering through the day as happened in both before this. More so in that house that has six apartments & all owned by cheapie landlord. Yesterday’s sunday evening went through with unfortunate event. Feel that one mistake during that was meant to happen cause if it hadn’t then i wouldn’t have found my bank card that lost on a way home. That ‘meant to happen accident‘ here in new better home was about me leaving plastic measuring can on one of stove’s burner that was heating up.

I noticed it moments later, but was already too late as bottom was half melted away. Before this mistake i had a grocery store trip & that card dropped on the way home. I had put it into jacket’s inner pocket with phone & keys at bottom. Naturally it attached to phone & dropped to ground when i shot a short video for mom so she can see nice apt. buildings in the area 😯 I moved twice between store & home after that measuring can turning to waste. Only around eight a clock I got to settle down & do planned things which included cooking first meal of the day & other things. Before that i had to walk about four and half km cause of that bad luck & that happened before any nutrition to body 🥴

Good that at the end of all that had posit. outcome & learned one thing that prevents it from happening again =) It’s that ‘always put your payment card to wallet right after used it at store‘ 💁‍♂️ I didn’t update this ‘Looking for a Serenity’ for a while cause of that scam apartment move in (the one where lived only about three weeks) & no good time even lil before that when had bad living times at home where i lived for two years. This past week been a welcome change after lived three weeks in scam apartment. Had to use big sum of important savings when made the 2nd home change in such short-time period. Wiuh so to sum up: Feels good to be able to walk with light clothing after wake up & can do daily things without shivering while at home. Often these were not possible even on the apt. where lived before the scam home (lived for 2x years).

During low winter temp. (-8c & below) days indoor temp. was below eighteen c. 🥶 It is by law that when rental apt’s indoor temp. goes below eighteen then you have right to ask reduced rent for that month. Naturally i didn’t cause moving out planned to two weeks away. Floor layout was perfect on that apartment & silent small houses area so if not for those crappies that prevent normie time living, i would’ve gladly lived there for a long time. Now with high hopes looking forward to living here at downtown in apt. owned by friendly landlord.
