Good Adventure Books Pt.3

So far i’ve read two books written by great WJW. They’re both part of this series & i plan to launch third one around autumn that’s knocking on the door. I launched advs. to this series july last year with relaxed pace at evenings. Finished second part at end of this spring. The basic setup is reasonably standard in cliche’ish box. The last days of glory for a massive stellar empire. What Williams *does* with this is impressive & truly one of my fav. authors on this genre. Looked into his bio after finished first book late last year & was kinda awe struck from the length of it. I’m excited of a plan to start reading his cyberpunk stories later when time is ready.

“Story that makes you look for more”

‘The Praxis: Dread Empire’s Fall Pt.1′ is beautiful adventure that’s set in Earth’s far future. The story takes place at the end of the 10k year long rule by an alien race called ‘The Shaa‘ over human species & many others. ‘The Shaa’ erected the perfect statist empire with a harsh moral code called the Praxis. Humanity handled things well for a long time under this rule & same for few other species. Lil about the story: ‘The Shaa’ built vast empire of five species & ruled for a long time. When ‘The last Shaa’ is dead, the war for the Fate of the Empire ensues. This war is mostly shown through eyes of two heroes: Gareth Martinez who is a young ship captain & a Peer. Second is Caroline Sula, a fighter pilot with a dark secret in her past. They’re interesting & imperfect characters that are written pretty well & i got fairly stuck to both. Nice surprise comes about their story appears later, which i like. The story roams around between past & present with good flow that doesn’t make you wander off the rails.

The overall tone changes on past segments is grim & emotionally well built towards heavy. This is good adventure to read & after reading first two books i can say that totally engaging & fun. The universe is well developed & comes with interesting details & settings, for example backstory for some races like the yacht. End part of the book has well written rebellion that causes you wonder during the next day about ‘what might happen’ if read at evenings like i always do. This could be a bit lengthy for some & maybe not good for those who look for more action. Both have plenty for my taste. Support here. I recommend with rating 8.2/10 ❤

“That was found at ‘continuation’ & didn’t disappoint”

‘The Sundering: Dread Empire’s Fall Pt.2‘ When i launched read journey into this, i had good feels after knowing how well first part kept feeding the imaginative content for the mind. Even i think that this isn’t on same level with the ‘Praxis‘ it’s still high-quality sci-fi space opera that’s worth of read & deserves support. Aiming not to spoil anything here as usual. This is loyal to true space opera/military scifi writing & a top-notch piece on genre. I enjoy the writing at most parts of the book & the character development, except some leader characters mentioned as they are goofies here. I think the aliens here ‘built’ by Walter are well presented & not easily forgotten as you go forward. This second part expands the plot well & world created you were introduced on the first one. I’m more fan of the first & hope that third book be like it or even better.

One of the best memorables about this adventure so far is that naval space combat is written with care & so detailed. Same with world building including other species as mentioned earlier. I think this series from talented Walter Jon Williams would be perfect as live act cinema entertainment or telly series. That is if somebody would only gather up the transformers scale budget if go to cinema & if not then budget to match ‘The Expanse‘ series on Amazon Prime Video. Looking forward to autumn evening when begin adventures on third EBook. Gonna buy it at end of this month from Amazon.co.uk as i do for book shoppings. These books offer beautiful story about love lost, political gain struggles & war that is widely known in the universe. My rating for Pt.2 7.7/10.

Two weeks of Crazy cool DC Telly time.

^^ For this & next week since foreveer when comes to beautiful DC Comics shown at Telly in Live act. format. Specif. means that three on same week ❤ DC’s Stargirl had Season two premiere ep. yesterday & new season one ep. for Superman & Lois as well. DC’s Titans S03 premiere ep. comes tomorrow Aug 12th. Not long to go when S&L goes to break & gets ready to prod. S02. Lil sad face in mid of these great times cause of knowing that first three eps. of DC’s Titans drop on premiere day :/ Personally wanted to see whole season to arrive ep. per week cause then season would ‘last longer‘. That way to have couple more weekdays when looking for the evening with good munchies & new ep. Gotta go with this scheduling that suits chose to use & no complaints cause it got third season. Soon to send DC’s Titans fourth season request email to Hbo Max & WB at least three times a month until it’s confirmed. Hope that we see my fav. crossover wish that’s Stargirl – S&L 🎉 If not this then DC’s Titans to do second with Doom Patrol. If only Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow would still be around & to have many scenes together with Stargirl & S&L crew. Sadly that fine series had crappy characters brought in when ‘New Team Arrow‘ members arrived & few seasons later writers did wrong to Oliver Queen’s storyline.

S.Amell did gent’s move on two comic-con events when he gave the bow to young fan who was a cancer survivor. I wish good luck & happy times on his new Heels series 🖖 Second hope is that AT&T / WB would buy Stargirl completely to their HBO Max & HBO Nordic streaming platform. Yeah HBO Nordic is gonna merge with H.Max. Hope it happens soon cause it’s supposed to by Q4 this year. That’s based on announcement early this year. Everyone enjoy this DC Content during Q4 this year & remember to keep sub active on Hbo Max & Hbo Nordic (Nordic for Scandinavian fans) & share good word about DC’s Telly series 👏 HBO Streaming library is available also on some other continents with other name like HBO Go. I have HBO Nordic & happy to keep sub without axing it 🙇‍♂️ Watching content with relaxed pace & happy to know that merge is gonna happen when time is ready. HBO Max is going global sooner than later & that’s good cause then there’s less hassle with diff. names. I think whole Europe has it by Q1 next year.

DC’s Titans S03 tease image

DC’s Titans: Third season prem. ep. arrives 12.8 at Hbo Max ❤ When i first heard the theme song for this beauty series i was dazed into good feels state. Following since second day of pilot ep. arrived. DC Comics’ younger superheroes & vigilantes have so far shined through across slightly uneven, but entertaining two seasons. Robin (Brenton Thwaites), Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft), Wonder Girl (Conor Leslie), Starfire (Anna Diop), Beast Boy (Ryan Potter), Jason Todd (Curran Walters) & Superboy (Joshua Orpin) are main characters adventures so far. Not to forget Dove & Hank played by Minka Kelly & Alan Richardson. S01E09 that’s about their story is one of my fav. eps. so far. DC’s Titans is a darkly toned show where our heroes’ morals are often compromised & their talks at times aren’t something you should hear at elem.school.

They come out while bones endurance is put to test & blood is splattered. First season is kinda best of the two as we meet the main players, learn their back stories and follow an intriguing mystery involving Rachel. Though in my view season two has it’s beautiful highlights & storytelling that keep you tightly seated. Thwaites is the show’s anchor – & the closest thing the group has to a leader. On the journeys his murky decision making is influenced by a troubled past. DC’s Titans is more like Arrow than shows like The Flash or Black Lightning the fine series that should’ve been more grittier & get renewal to fourth season. Big dream with DC’s Titans is to have Swamp Thing saved by HBO Max or Amazon Prime Video & then crossover eps. 🤞 Hope that people keep sending email about it to both of them. DC’s Stargirl


DC’s Stargirl: Cause of the ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths‘ crossover, it’s known that Stargirl takes place on Earth-2 in the DC live-action multiverse – World that was destroyed in the final season of Arrow & reborn on new form in the last chapter of Crisis. You don’t need to know any of that backstory to enjoy the Stargirl premiere, but still i recommend to watch Arrow series with relaxed pace & enjoy the stories ❤ Courtney Whitmore ‘Stargirl‘ is played by Brec Bassinger & her stepdad – Pat Dugan is played by Luke Wilson. Since early on – the series really thrives on the strong chemistry between the two leads & the awkward, but likeable family bond they share ✨ With seeing so many superhero stories revolving around a character grieving for their dead parents, it was refreshing to get a show centered on a father/daughter relationship. Stargirl does it well as it goes without scenes that put a slower gear on when not needed.

Mike Dugan character played by Trae Romano brings out some cheesy dialogue on first season, but good thing is that they don’t go overboard when know how to focus. S01 offers fine villains like ‘Icicle & Brainwave‘ that are well delivered into live act series. Second season had it’s premiere yesterday 10.8. on The CW & today 11.8 ep. is also available on HBO Max, HBO Nordic & maybe HBO Go ❤ On press event held at end of july the series creator Geoff Johns said that the dark tone will immediately play out in the season two premiere ep. He didn’t go into details, but teased that the opening brings frightening moments to everyone. Today on late evening accompanied with good veg munchies i’ll watch S02E01 on HBO Nordic via 📺 app. I’m not going deeper into series & can say that it’s a lot of fun through ten eps. & i recommend it to anyone 🙌

Superman & Lois


Superman & Lois: Is developed for The CW by Todd Helbing, Greg Berlanti. Directed by Lee Toland Krieger, James Bamford & Rachel Talalay. On this beautiful ‘Man of Steel‘ series the filming crew uses true anamorphic lenses that’s mandatory in order to achieve the ‘epic & mysterious’ look that’s characterized by Zack Snyder’s superhero films 🎥 When watched pilot ep. on HBO Nordic via telly’s app. i was in ‘awe’ state thanks to that & just cause of good writing, fine acting & more 🏆 On S&L, Superman is a now well-established hero who at start is investigating breeches in nuclear power plants with Lois’ father, Gen. Sam Lane (Dylan Walsh). Clark & Lois have been married for a long time, raising twin sons -Jordan (Alex Garfin) & Jonathan (Jordan Elsass)- Jonathan is about to launch his sporty adventures as QB in Metropolis high school.

Jordan has had his issues growing up – he’s often distant & acted out when was younger. He was diagnosed with social anxiety disorder.  Clark feels a bit down at end of many days cause not being able to be there for his kids. Esp. for Jordan to whom he’s been unable to connect with during his anxiety troubled early that should be spent with other ways. The villain story on s01 that’s still going for couple eps. threw a welcome surprise with a small curve & alliance was made. I cheered when saw Angus Macfadyen show up. I strongly recom. S&L (HBO Nordic) to everyone & those who worry about overload with teen angst drama won’t need to think about it. Watch on The CW app. (US only) if you’re on it’s geo range & if not then stream on HBO Max, Nordic or HBO Go & share good word o/

The Stand “Brilliant mind bending adv.”

Gem that i read lil bit @late 90’s & the rest 6002 (2002) when moved to new city for first time. Got to know by mini-series in -96. It aired 2y earlier & the one i watched at friend’s home was uncut. My fav characters are ‘Trash Can Man‘ who’s weird, but interesting to follow & Randall Flagg. Randall bit less cause of his more awkward attit. Though still enjoy Randall’s chapters, filled with anger & evil plans to take down all good. 1st part “The Plague” which explains the coming of the terrible disease & its developments is one of my favs.

‘The Stand‘ has lot of commentary that are about tech, society, group-thoughts, individuality & choice. Also faith & of course the big subject good vs evil that’s always present among human species. I’ve read few SK books after started my reading adventures in mid -90’s. There’s a remake of telly mini-series that dec last year & is now available on Amazon Prime Video. I really liked the first one mentioned above & remake wasn’t bad either. It deserves higher rating on imdb. Good journey to everyone who dives into ‘The Stand‘ book. The King’s Witch (Pt.1 of The King’s Witch Trilogy)

I bought this as ebook on earlier this year’s spring. Gonna buy second & third on next month. I’m close to midway & like for what have read so far. Has storytelling that keeps me wanting for more. Since mid july have had some relaxing late evenings spent with warm Peppermint Tea Cuppa & this Book. About main character & other things i know so far: This story takes place as King James comes from Scotland at time of Queen Elizabeth’s death. It takes you through Witch Hunt on this land & Lord Cecil’s Evil plot to try & show that Frances is a Witch. Frances had been giving ailmments to Elizabeth on her deathbed, using her herbs to give the queen some final comfort, when she is delivered an ominous warning – her queen’s successor – James, isn’t fond of Witches. Through cunning, intelligence & sharp bravery Frances manages to navigate life at court through the most dangerous of times.

The characters are so well written that i even wanted to teach manners to couple, yeah for real. Frances is a woman who practices herbalism & cause of that through history she’d be labeled as a Witch. It was totally stupid & clearly another way for men to control women on those times. I could rant about this subject, but won’t go to it now. Her guardian deity did the work as the Queen steps in & protects her, but not before some damage is done. With all this going Frances experiences good & bad sides of romantically loving other person. True to the time period, Tracy brings the story & lives of King James & his court to vibrant life. If you love history from this era that’s set about four hundred years into past then this is a book for you. History is on top three of my fav subjects since early high school. I enjoyed learning more about this time period. Tracy is accurate when comes to history set into those years. I aim to finish this book & chapter for Frances in next couple weeks & launch journey to continuation on some day next month. Good evening read that i recommend. Lil about my Cruelty Free-Eating path in recent-times & new plans.

My fav. drink with good fruit is Pear Juice that doesn’t have added crap white sugar. That’s my go to drink at other times than after food & waking up. Cleaned water when wake up & later on the day with warm meal. Long time passion to eating fruits with their natural sugar ❤ I prefer fruits few times a week 110% more than ready made fruity meals that have added sugar or others. Found tasty buckwheat cereals early this year & since april have baked low sodium glut free bread with buckwheat & rice flour 👌 Happy that after couple fails they’ve turned out good. Some fine nutritious ingredients in meat substitute foodies are pea prot, shroomies or just shroomie prot, tasty seaweed for patties & more. If you decide to include seaweed to your diet then recom. to skip hijiki seaweed cause it has big amount of arsenic. Usually seaweed is without it so no need to worry about that. These are healthy & nutritious food from planet itself. There’s many more goodies on vegan foodie path that doesn’t include only Soy. There’s many almost mind numbing tasty, healthy & nutritious carcass meat substitutes on these days ❤ Patties, sausages etc. 🙂

I didn’t turn into semi cruelty free-eating path by any one’s recommendation. Atm. i follow pescatarian foodie path so that’s why semi word there. I’ll go to full cruelty free-eating by end of this year & have eaten tasty fishy substitute product that also has good nutrit. values ❤ Ditching carcass eating naturally is good for those sentient beings without voice & the planet. It’s also a good nutritional path for humans to stop adding dead flesh into their shell that they maintain from birth up to day when it turns into content suitable for composts. This recommended by those with truly compassionate mind & also put up the pieces together by myself. With adding together mean the fact that human species don’t need to consume rotting flesh of other sentient beings to survive & it’s mind boggling how millions of people don’t see it 😦

Big corps. on murder industry been doing ‘fight back‘ operation for year or two now. It’s done by increasing dairy farm commercials that are built in a way that they brainwash children to think how it’s all sunshine & no sentient beings are hurt :/ They’re tricked to think that those carcass pieces appear to their plate from farms with no bloodshed. Some good Finnish Plant Based products: Meaat, GaryRenegade, Voner Owners of Meaat Plant Based foodies announced that they’ll reduce sodium content from their products by end of this year so that’s great. Flavor remains just as good cause of herbs etc. I kinda don’t like their name cause it reminds of butchering, but kinda not. Gary Renegade produces so far my fav. Veg Sausage called ‘Pornaisten Palkki‘ that’s main ingr. is Broad Bean. Vöner has Seitan which isn’t glut. free cause it’s made out of wheat so i eat it only on s.moments.

Veg Casserole with Veg minced Meat that has Pea Protein. I also added: Herbs, Broccoli, R.B.Pepper, lil bit of Black Beans & covered with Veg Kremel Cheese ❤

Telly entertainment shines from Aug to early next Year

Many telly series return for new season on this month & also one or two long waited movies coming to cinema & streaming platform. If not mistaken atm. the Suicide Squad helmed by James Gunn is released on both Hbo Max & in cinemas. Hopefully it has good revenue & at least doubles the prod. costs so Dcu Cinema productions is even more ensured. So on that front is gonna be busiest & most exciting month so far on this year. Kinda shame that so many make their return during same month cause then it also means that all or some drop out about same time until their possible return on next year. Foundation series Pilot ep. arrives at end of Sept. I haven’t looked into it, but hope season one to include at least ten eps. & that it gets good support at Apple+ platform.

So this is good as then quaranteed for many to have entertainment up to end of the year if not longer. Before year the Book of Boba Fett‘s pilot ep. arrives. Not to forget Q1 next year as then ST:SNW comes to fill our minds with no doubt beauty pilot ep. Many series i support by watching through Streaming App. on Telly. Always with relaxed pace & currently subbed to Hbo Nordic (merges later to Hbo Max), A.P.V. via Amazon.co.uk & Mickey+ owned by Mickey’s corp. Always when i shop at Amazon Store in Uk or Germany (.de) then i use smile. at front of addr. & then small amount of € goes to charity org. that i’ve chosen. Brief look into what telly offers through last five months of this year 🤳🎉 I wish good prosperous August to everyone. Remember to recycle, Reduce single plastic use & then use Fabric Bags for Groceries & in General ❤ Ask stores to replaces plastic containers, fruits & vegs that are packed with plastic to be packed bio friendly instead. Few easy steaps to help nature & sentient beings.
